CAD is not ‘spatial’ which is why you needed a separate GIS technology. However, the typical GIS is not precision making it useless for engineering and surveying application. LandMentor is the only precision coordinate geometry (land surveying based) system with ‘intelligent surfaces’ (think - GIS ‘shapes’). Is it actually possible to have a precision map of your city that can also be utilized for something other than data basing? Not with GIS, and unlikely with CAD, but possible with the LandMentor System. |
